Classes are offered by the Association and Vendors during the show.
- Association classes are free and provide instruction on certain techniques on small pieces to take home.
- Vendors offer paid classes to smaller groups providing a more hands on detailed education of their products.

Free Classes
Free Technique Classes are provided by SCSCA members at multiple times during the show. Classes last about an hour and you get to take home an example of your work.
There is limited seating so make sure to sign up at the Welcome table when you arrive.

Vendor Classes
Some vendors offer classes for a fee. These classes provide small groups students a more hands on detailed education of their products. Some classes are scheduled and some are open seating and self-paced.

Learn to Paint the Fashenhues Way
Vendor – St. Louis Area Ceramics
Details – in booth classes – includes instruction, paint, brushes, and a bisque piece to paint.
When – No fixed start/stop times. If there is an empty chair, a new student is welcome. (No new students after about 2:00 p.m.).
Price – $15.00

Decals – Dragonfly Plate

Details – Create a colorful dragonfly on an 8-inch plate that becomes integrated with the sheet music from the Beatle’s classic, Let It Be. Learn how a decal can elevate your project and eliminate painstaking brushwork. You will leave with a kiln-ready piece to be fired once at cone 06, and again at 012-06 to fire the decal. Bring packing materials for transport.
When – Sept. 11 – 9:00 am and Sept 12 – 1:00 pm

Decals – Snowplace Like Home Tray

Details – Create your own cast of snow characters on a 9″ x 6″ bisque tray using Stroke & Coat for the snowmen and an overglaze decal for the lettering. You will leave with a kiln-ready piece to be fired once at cone 06, and again at 012-06 to fire the decal. Bring packing materials for transport.
